Finding a quiet place that speaks to you is a rare gift, and this lake near Pratt, Kansas, became that for me. The sky there isn't just scenery; it's a daily lesson in the rhythm of life. Each sunrise felt like a tangible spark of hope, a vibrant promise held within the unfolding light. But the sunsets... ah, the sunsets were something else entirely. They weren't just beautiful endings; they were breathtaking spectacles that seemed to hold time still. The horizon would ignite in a blaze of impossible colors – fiery oranges melting into soft pinks, vibrant golds bleeding into deep violets. The clouds themselves would become masterpieces, catching the light in dramatic ways, transforming into fleeting sculptures of pure beauty.

There was a sense of drama, yes, but also a profound peace, as if the day was exhaling its last, colorful breath. Watching them felt like witnessing a secret ritual, a daily masterpiece painted across the vast canvas of the prairie sky, leaving you with a lingering sense of awe and a quiet understanding of the day's gentle close. It was a reminder that even in a seemingly small corner of the world, you can witness something truly grand and feel a connection to something far beyond yourself.

Almost five years ago, the phrase "Meant To Be Remarkable" came to me, yet I had no idea what to do with it. So, it patiently waited within the pages of a notebook in a office here in Pratt, Kansas, until I was ready to step into my true purpose. I didn't realize it would take navigating through darkness and learning to "Let Go" for its profound meaning to finally reveal itself. Simply by slowing down and getting outside with my camera, I discovered a sense of belonging and joy I'd never experienced. This practice connected me to a higher power—for me, that higher power is God—and has completely transformed how I see myself and the world around me.

I'm no guru or spiritual leader; I'm Lacey Hykel. And I know every step of my journey, everything I've learned, has led me precisely to this purpose: to be exactly who God intended me to be and to openly share my path from self-acceptance to self-love and all the growth in between. "Meant To Be Remarkable" is about uncovering the extraordinary beauty hidden within the ordinary.
